The proceeds from the sales of this book go directly to help feed and maintain the proper health of the horses Melanie Bowles (author) has adopted. The stories are all about how Melanie came to adopt the horses she now has at her sanctuary. Without people like Melanie and her family, horses that now live in their sanctuary in Arkansas would more than likely have no home and may have either been beaten or starved to death. This book is a well written book with pictures of some of the sweet horses she now has. It’s a great gift and being a chapter book is a wonderful read for children as well as adults.
